Very good question! Building hardware in the ‘70s when capable RF transistors were just coming in, writing articles about same, and post 2000 seeing people using software I wrote. Working with and learning from others.

I would hope that any critical feature was initially disabled, but could be enabled optionally by the user.

Thanks, Phil. I found a manual this morning and came to the same conclusion. Would have been ideal for me, being more compact than my Anytone 878.
