The AI stuff sucks, just like it sucks in The Finals and I still haven't heard or seen a good argument for its use, so it's definitely a shame to have that leave a stain on its reputation, whereas otherwise this has been the first extraction game I've actually enjoyed with friends *and* solo!

ARC Raiders is strange in that, it's, not some low effort unoptimized early access slop; it feels like a competently made game meant to actually be enjoyed!
Combined with it being just arcadey enough to be less painful and is actively *encouraging friendly play and social interactions* is wild!

It's like huge publishers saw Tarkov and Hunt and went "Wait, maybe this is the next thing like battle royale! We gotta get a jump on this!" and then were never actually successful at making extraction shooters something super mainstream.
The attempts never usually stick around, even with COD.

Funny thing for me is that like, while on one hand *same* because it feels like a trend spurned on by... almost nothing? It still feels like it's everywhere when it kinda isn't.
There's not really any ultra successful extraction shooter I can think of that sparked all this, y'know?
