Oslo has been shifting to electric buses for the past few years and while there have been challenges, the system generally works well. It's a question of having the proper infrastructure to support fast and parallel charging of buses, e.g. at end stations where buses often wait anyways

Continue with their business practices.
I really struggle to understand why there isn't more ambition given the situation we are in now.
For us in Norway this must mean that we can't wait for the EU on this and must go forward with building digi. sovereignty, strengthening and using (F)OSS...

Instead lots of talk of private sector initiatives and simplification(=deregulation and deprioritizing protecting rights) that will hurt European organizations (btw this is not just for-profit companies, but also foundations/non-profits/volunteers) by letting the usual suspects...

You know what would have been an ambitious and impactful announcement at the summit? If Merz would have said "We are switching all federal office software to open source by 2027" or if Macron would have said "we are going to close loopholes in regulation to ensure a level playing field."..

By not actively shaping digital infrastructure as we want it in Europe and leaving the field wide open for large US firms to build quasi-monopolies. Deregulating more will just further entrench the domination of already too big corporations...
