There is if you can get enough people to agree with you. Not enough people have agreed on anything since 1965 (b/c Black Americans got full rights). Give your State majorities big enough and things happen (see for example MN)- and as long as youngster primary turnout is like this…good luck

It’s not a cafeteria. You show up as a duty to your fellow citizens. Don’t want to? That’s fine. But don’t complain after. I think touching the stove is important, and 2025 is an example of that. The saddest thing is low turnout in primaries because that is when you can choose the menu.

Always lower- especially in primaries when you get to decide who will run (so you have the biggest influence) - and as l tell my kids when they fart, bless you!

Honestly what happened to Italian Jews when Italy surrendered and Nazis occupied their former ally was horrendous. The Jewish community in Italy was obliterated. Heartbreaking, but great novel “Eternal” (in addition of course to any work from Primo Levi)
