I don’t *think* they’re jammed? They’re moving, but neither of us know what normal movement looks like

From the same household is this fancy elder gentleman who always has a bow tie, but visits less frequently

I don’t have at cat, however that doesn’t stop this little terror regularly visiting from next door. She can hear me put the kettle on and jumps down from the wall and patiently waits at the back door for treats.

For very important reasons I still have this Final Pam / Adventure Zone cross over fanart I found on tumblr like a bazillion years ago that feels relevant to this moment

Lunch today was a toastie made with home made white bread, cheddar and some left over chilli jam noodle sauce (tofu, tahini, Nando’s chilli jam, no actual noodles.) It was divine!

Day 2 went a lot smoother and I was done before lunch.
October 14, 2025 at 12:02 PM
Day 2 saw was getting the top sheet in place. This stuff weighed an absolute ton, and is coated with loads of tiny little bits of stone like teeny tiny scales. The deal with the lap measure issue from the day before, I made the fold overs A LOT bigger for this layer. To cover my SINS
October 14, 2025 at 11:58 AM
The end of Day 1 saw the under sheet fully in place. I accidentally left the brush and hammer and whatnot on the roof overnight as I didn’t see them until I took this photo from the bathroom window. The lap between the two sheets needed a coating of the bitumen stuff to seal it
October 14, 2025 at 11:54 AM
The next step was a bit of a faff and kind of messy. I needed to paste a bitumen based felt adhesive onto the roof to help stick the felt down, and then nail it in place with clout nails. I suspect this would be messy, hence the rubber gloves.
October 14, 2025 at 11:54 AM
First off, was the measure out the new felt under sheet. I used a little piece of chalk from my bicycle puncture repair kit to mark out the bits I needed to fold over the edge of the roof.
October 14, 2025 at 11:54 AM
All that nonsense took about two hours and then I stopped for lunch (a whole box of halloumi fries). Here’s a pile of all the old nasty felt.
October 14, 2025 at 11:54 AM
To complicate matters I also needed to make sure that any new felt went under the lap from the other shed roof, which is caked with a really think swodge of old sealant
October 14, 2025 at 11:40 AM
The exception to this was the corner where the felt had torn off in the first place. That had a big old hole, and a bunch of rot that need howking out. So this got filled in with a bunch of wood hardener, filler and some wood slats I had knocking about. Absolute bodge job, vaguely flat-ish
October 14, 2025 at 9:50 AM
For the most part, even though the plywood was a bit spongy and flaking, I just dumped a bunch of wood hardener onto it and called it quits.
October 14, 2025 at 9:35 AM
Stripping off the old felt probably took about an hour, because while the bits that were fucked were FUCKED. Some parts needed we to really get in with a claw hammer to prise the clout nails out.

At this point I'm beginning to wonder if Starmer hates being Prime Minister and is coming up with increasingly unhinged ideas in the hope that someone will finally kick him out.
