GL11 Community Hub is a thriving charity based in the heart of Cam & Dursley, Gloucestershire. We exist to make our community a place where everyone feels welcome, valued, and supported to live well.We bring people together through a wide range of activities — from wellbeing and fitness sessions, to creative workshops, family events, volunteering opportunities, and skills development programmes. Our approach is rooted in co-design and community voice, meaning we don’t just deliver services: we work with local people to create the opportunities and solutions that matter most to them.As a trusted community hub, GL11 also partners with schools, health and care providers, and local organisations to shape wider systems of support, making Cam & Dursley more inclusive, accessible, and resilient.At GL11, we believe that when people feel safe, connected, and empowered, real change happens. Each year we do our best to make sure that people in our community can experience a joyful Christmas whatever their circumstances.

Each year we do our best to make sure that people in our community can experience a joyful Christmas whatever their circumstances.
According to the Bank of England, the average UK household spends an extra £713 in December. There can be a lot of pressure on families and their budgets to make this a really special time of year and we get it.

Our 'build your own' model ensures that people have choice and caters for everyone's preferences and dietary requirements, rather than receiving a standardised pre-packed selection. This year we already have 210 hampers booked, an 11% increase on last year, with some slots still available.

Meanwhile, we're gearing up for next week's Christmas hampers provision. Last year there were 189 free or low-cost Christmas hampers collected from GL11 containing everything needed for a festive lunch and some additional treats.

We're still crunching the numbers for this year, but last year we served up 268 delicious low-cost Christmas lunches!
