There’s a Tesco Express a couple of miles away. Admittedly, it’s in a rough area, but you’ve to wait to be buzzed in and out by staff. So they can stop known local shoplifters coming in and stop those with suspiciously bulky coats getting out

I don’t doubt it. But if it was any other corrupt loophole, but not linked to asylum seekers, worth a relatively poultry £18m, it wouldn’t reach the Home Secretary’s inbox. Which was more my point

Genuinely, I’m traumatised by cars. I’m hyper vigilant re noises etc. constantly turning the radio off because I’m convinced something doesn’t seem right. Anxiety over long drives etc

Hated mine but it was a wreck I paid not much for. Had it 2 yrs and the gearbox gave up. Not worth fixing, so scrapped. S-Max was my favourite. Huge car that drove great. Until timing belt went (despite getting the dealer to change the belt 2 yrs earlier - got conned there) and was scrapped too

Only had 5 cars. Didn’t drive till I was 37, by which time we were a month away from our 4th child - hence the 7 seater as a 1st car! The 206 was a £600 make do car after I scrapped the Picasso and bought the S-Max. The 2008 - our 1st normal sized car as only the youngest kid is ever with us now!
