The ninth judge assigned to the case will be the fifth to take the 9/11 bench, expected at 1300. LtCol Michael Schrama was assigned to the case in July.

Connell explains how that decision-making process played into al Baluchi when he entered the interrogation room at Guantanamo and saw the familiar scene -- the same lights, same shackle points, same chairs he saw in the black sites over 1k+ interrogations. To him, he had no choice but to talk.
