Tomorrow, November 26th, I am launching a Regional Day of Service. I will be spending the day visiting food banks across King County, volunteering, listening, and supporting the people who keep our communities nourished.

As I said this morning, I want a county government that has boots on the ground. One that shows up not just in meetings but in neighborhoods, on doorsteps, and alongside you in the work of making life better for our neighbors. And that begins now.

And as two parents of toddlers, I know we both understand firsthand the urgent need to fix our child care affordability crisis. Together, we can deliver a new era of collaboration that puts families and working people first.

I look forward to working closely with Mayor-elect Wilson to address homelessness, improve public safety, and make Seattle and King County more affordable places to live.
