Or retro inspired dolls either. Since Day to Night is 1980s I can see why it was used. Maybe a 2000s inspired Day to Night may have seen Mackie being used, I don't know. Is it bad to use a different face sculpt for a reimagining (if it's not a repro)? I don't think so. More accesories needed though!

Since Jesus' birthday pretty much takes up the whole month of December, why can't ours? Us December birthday babies go through enough as it is (December 5 birthday here)! Happy birthday to you! Hope you have a great day!

Reminds me of My Scene fans screaming for "My Bling Bling" reproductions but Mattel seem to have no clue about what to do with the My Scene girls. I am genuinely happy to see Bratz doing well though. Just makes me think of what My Scene could have been if Mattel had some sort of strategy with them.

I don't own a Silkstone (yet!) & I really like BFMC 4. Champagne Chic (Taya version) has been hard to find & she's very expensive as well since she was one of this year's Barbie convention dolls. So yeah, I'm taking my time to think about it!

I was thinking about buying either BFMC 4 Gilded Glamour (the new Barbie Silkstone doll), Barbie Chromatic Couture Yellow (Kira) or Barbie Champagne Chic (Taya). They're all a similar price but I can't decide which one. I'm thinking between Champagne Chic (she's hard to find) or BFMC 4. /1

I worry about how representative the dolls really are in terms of facial features & skintones (because that's been a real issue with this line in the past) & also Mattel's quality isn't the best right now either. I also hope any info on the boxes are correct as well. I have mixed feelings on it.

You know, I can imagine a Brooklyn version of this set with purple accessories. It's actually disappointing that Mattel didn't release a Brooklyn version of this as well. I can understand why there wouldn't be Teresa, Renee & Daisy but there should've been a Brooklyn version.

I wonder if Big W, Target and Myer will fully stock the 2nd & 3rd Barbie Deluxe Style waves. I hope they do but I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't. You know, my local Myer got a lot of stock for clearance dolls that they didn't previously stock like My Scene & 2024 Holiday dolls. I was shocked.

I just bought this Dream Besties Festival set for $55AUD at Target Australia, though I think Myer has this cheaper though. I'm planning to post up pics of Renee and Malibu in their new outfits soon!

I'm so happy to see an Asian looking Silkstone Barbie! And she looks really pretty too. There hasn't been one since the vaguely East Asian "Chinoiserie" series with the 3 Silkstone dolls. So this is like the 4th Asian looking Silkstone doll ever. About time Mattel!

Yeah, I found them unintentionally. I noticed that those doll feeds seem to mostly pick up on content from Dollsky and also any post with the #dolls hashtag. That's why I use that hashtag as well so my posts appear on those feeds as well as Dollsky.

There are two other doll feeds on Bluesky that I follow: "Fashion Dolls and Crafts" and also "Dolls" (with a flower emoji next to it) & I see shops posting about selling dolls on both of those feeds, which can get annoying admittedly.
