When I was a youngun I worked at a farm stand in Union Square. On super cold days the Tibetan guys who worked for an orchard kept a pot of hot water heated over a camping stove to warm hard-boiled eggs. They used to give me hot eggs to slip into my pockets- bliss for my frozen fingers!

I'm so terribly sorry for your loss. I, and I suspect many other folks, get a lot of joy from being useful to others- sounds like your dad gave that gift to a lot of people. Wishing you comfort in his memory.

Some people think that it gets easier to raise money when you show effectiveness but that's not true. If any of you have connections to ppl who want to fund a program that is making free & low cost counseling/therapy accessible to formerly incarcerated & criminalized people, please let me know.
