Done with the Santa tasks and now I am opening the bedroom window to sleep because it’s too hot. It’s 56 degrees. Outside. On December 24. At midnight. IN UTAH!! It’s fine. Everything is fine. First year of not skiing on Christmas or Christmas Eve in decades. Guess we will mountain bike tomorrow?

This will be an unpopular opinion but Utah needs to reinstate vehicle safety inspections. I cannot tell you how many cars are unfit for driving, and more importantly, stopping… Bald tires and non-functioning brake lights everywhere! And everyone could use a reminder of how turn signals work!

Keep calling your senators. Once public lands are sold, they are unrecoverable. The bill that gives all to the wealthy will steal your public lands and make our NP system into a private enterprise. Keep the pressure on. Even red state senators need to hear from you!

Took my 13 yo to the kilby block party. We played ping pong… DEVO slayed. New Order was phenomenal… thought it couldn’t get better, then Brandon Flowers joined them for a song. And then. The encore. Joy Division. Love will tear us apart. Was a perfect evening. And the sky was also showing off.

Tried the UTA ski bus today. It was amazing. Parked at the swamp lot. Waited 5 min for the bus. Relaxed the whole way up. Caught the bus home. No red snake! Wasn’t full up or down. Had an amazing powder day! We typically have 3+ so carpool lot but today was just me and one kiddo. He suggested it.

The SLC school district just informed us of a data breach. As an employee I’m relieved only our email address was compromised.
As a parent I’m HORRIFIED. Name. DOB. Address. Grade. Student ID. Contact info. Lunch status. Then the best part.. well at least no SS number… it might as well be.

So I’m helping my husband build an LS3 crate engine. I am now dreaming about parts, diagrams, and throttle body sizing. I also know what a hi ram air intake manifold looks like and how to run the vacuum hoses. Looking forward to the water pump arriving.

So I’m helping my husband build an LS3 crate engine. I am now dreaming about parts, diagrams, and throttle body sizing. I also know what a hi ram air intake manifold looks like and how to run the vacuum hoses. Looking forward to the water pump arriving.
