This is a good point. Attention is nice but I would never want everything that comes with being a really popular user. People seem to think that if someone's follower count is high enough then you don't need to have basic decency towards that person

every single time there's a major update some extension almost immediately pops up to undo that update. at this point that theory that they're trying to get people to stop using the site because it keeps losing money seems pretty plausible

course i also wouldn't be surprised if part of the reason it's semi-hidden is because it's broken like everything else on that site. "People won't know it's broken if they can't see it."
