Working to midday today. Did some strength training and hoping to get a run in tomorrow. At least the mornings are getting lighter. Let’s hope for a little less rain during daylight hours in February.

Good to get some running training in with coach this morning. That last interval was longer, slower and had a higher heart rate. The plan is still working towards a 5k / parkrun PB by April

The last remaining onion seed in the greenhouse; aubergines and chilli peppers in the propagator. Let the growing season start! Slowly of course. It’s way too early for most things. 😀

Cooking ✅ short run ✅ Veg planting prep in full swing. Veg tunnel reassembled, potting mix ready to go, seed trays and propagator found and ready to go. The potatoes that arrived are chitting. More to come. Short break before I plant garlic and onions

Finally back to running training with coach after the bad weather. Somehow this didn’t feel as fast as it was. Maybe the break did me some good!

Rearranged my morning routine to walk a bit later. Feels like -9C 🥶 it will be a short morning walk, Molly. Dog walker can do a longer one at lunchtime and I’ll find a way to raise my heart rate after work.

We thankfully started high but did go low and back to county hall. Thankfully not wet, muddy or icy and the sun did make an appearance.

Starting the year with an orienteering race in Matlock. With 105m of ascent over 3 miles and just 11 controls trips to find. 🤔😫😳. Happy New Year!
