I honestly think with how bad the reception is for the Remaster, it's gonna come out and flop, and then no publisher is gonna want to make a Deus ex game ever again :/ really sad

I think a lot of it was the fact it came out the same year as Halo 2, Half-Life 2, and GTA3 so game reviewers hated pretty much everything that wasn't full of high quality animated cutscenes with amazing voice acting. lots of text based RPGs from that same year got the same treatment from reviewers

in Deus Ex 1, the laser modification for guns will make them 100% accurate when turned on. The scope addon however, makes you have a -10% accuracy penalty to that weapon when not scoped in, making it a bad choice. dev comments say this is to "encourage use of the scope"
