I don’t have some sort of character lore reason yet as to why Vinny can be portrayed so many different ways other than “because I want to”. Simplest answer is “oh uhh they have like uhh a little bit of shape shifting powers/magic” but honestly idk yet lol.

I love the tension the presence of a knife can bring a lot.

As for blood/cutting it would take some getting used to. Can be fun in fantasy but in practice it would take a ton of trust in whoever I’m with, whether I’m giving or receiving. Not an activity I usually seek out to do, tho.
