It is undeniable that favours have been granted by the UCP and unethical behaviour abounds… the question is whether Albertans care any longer.

Sadly it appears in politics around the world demonstrate that people no longer care about corruption so long as they aren’t the one being inconvenienced.

The grievance position of the UCP and its base towards the feds will continue. Carney would have gotten the same political talking points by ‘supporting a pipeline built by the world’s greenest O&G industry’.

I know I come from this in a very much biased perspective, but education is a MASSIVE economic driver. To reduce funding to education (calling it unsustainable) while spending billions on declining industries (isn’t THAT unsustainable?) who need that same education to innovate - pure insanity.

Wait… what??? #StAlbert MLA Nally suggests that he has confidential election voting records for his constituents? Sadly this wouldn’t surprise me (very little does any more) but how might this happen?

I am curious as to the legality of a repeal and its impact on the petitions. Would the petitions be allowed to progress because they are in progress. Rules were not backwards compatible for the Forever Canada campaign; so would changing the rules now override the efforts Albertans have put in?

You aren’t wrong Max but I also think the UCP are underestimating the possible vote swing that could occur when seniors, a traditionally more conservative voter base, may realize their retirement savings may be eaten up by US-style healthcare costs.

100% these ‘organizers’ saw the GoFundMe dollars raised by the previous convoy and are looking for attention to grift money from others.

I’d like to hear from an Albertan (one of the 8 - 16%) who believe O&G should be exempt from taxes / debt / liabilities. Is there a rational reason for this or are have lobbyists convinced them? # Bitumen-based Trickle Down Economics

The grievance position against Ottawa is all the UCP has left keeping them from completely crumbling at the polls. Even if the feds build ANOTHER pipeline for them, they’ll find a way to whine about how it is built or that it wasn’t fast enough or it isn’t the colour blue.

So Guthrie and Sinclair are not in fact ‘Progressive’? Well there goes the UCP lawsuit…

Pretty sure an MLA calling her constituents MF’ers is enough to talk about neglect of duties and incompetence. And frankly, that is one of the least concerning things this UCP government has done in the past several months. www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...
