Someone more dedicated than me can probably bring up the dozen headlines calling the 2022 buildup on the Ukrainian border a "nothing to worry about" and an invasion "a delusional fantasy"

Even if basic fucking empathy wasn't enough to understand Ukrainians who lost their families in the invasion, some of us have to contend with the reality that one morning we could join the "Russian bombs killed my mum" club in less than an hour.

One of the many reasons I don't entertain going back to live in Poland right now is that being woken up by a rocket barrage is a very rational fear to have.

Zoom dodał jakieś gówno AI workspace które wyskakuje i się wpierdala wszędzie, ale na szczęście mnie to nie boli bo Zoom na linuksie mi się nie odpala od roku i żaden update tego nie naprawił

If you gave me a passage where a computer is called a "clanker" I'd probably read it perfectly fine, it's just a weird word. If you gave me a passage with t***** in it I'd recoil at it. I find it hard to believe training on the former makes the latter any easier.

To me the whole premise hinges on one's brain not being able to draw a very thick line between inanimate objects and people and to me that's a pretty extraordinary claim.

Sure, that's probably a good heuristic! But I don't see how calling the computer a silly name would make it easier to say a real slur. I get whiplash every time Twitter escapes containment with a post with the r-slur used casually like any other word. Because it targets *people*.

Is the point now that saying slurs at inanimate objects imakes you "better" at using slurs? Because like, sure, maybe, but it doesn't make you more likely to start using them where you weren't. The same way punching a bag makes you better at punching, not more likely to punch faces.

I mean for speaking it's press X when you see a dialogue option that you like. Do I understand correctly you're talking about almost an unconscious instinctive response? Like if I had to say slurs out loud to select a dialogue I'd be training myself to do that at real people reflexively?

Is voice a key component here? I was imagining a normal game with dialogue options and stuff. You know, you can actively torture slaves in BG3 for example.
