the Doctor and a companion having a daughter named after a flower, but time shit happens and she gets thrown out of her timeline, making her parents forget she existed in the first place. select people remember her existence, but it takes crossing timelines to bring her back/bring memories back.

also for the record I have seen more Trek than I haven't, like...I have BEEN HERE, I have characters falling out of my coat pockets and it's starting to look somewhat embarrassing!

for the record, we're almost halfway through season 6, and this is not necessarily a New Thing, the character I was developing just decided to lie dormant for like five+ years before dumping her entire life story on me in the *middle of the night*. she literally woke me up with it. outrageous!

being so close to finishing one of the foundational stories in this whole saga feels sooooo good! I'm so excited!

feel like it bears mentioning that yes this is fanfic I'm writing, but it's some of the biggest and most ambitious stuff Owen and I have done in a long time. the universe we've created is so expansive and complicated that I bought a poster-board for us to make a universe timeline.
