It’s past time we show them to the edge of town, point to the wilderness, and encourage them to shed the burdens of collective life. Then, after their screams die down, and the pleading to be let back into society fades, maybe then we can get back to the business of taking care of each other.

What other use is society than the group that cares for the weakest among it? We’ve listened for far too long to those who fancy themselves (ignoring any concept of how the world actually works) as lone wolves, allowing the most ruthless and uncaring to dictate what is good and just.

I’d honestly argue that, for a sequel to an Arnold movie, without having Arnold, it’s way better than it had any right to be.

Weirdest fried rice protein I’ve had was oven baked salmon fillet, crumbled into the rice. Seemed weird, was absolutely delicious.

If we’re taking impossible requests, it would be nice if my knees would stop hurting, wages rose, and I could get a seat on the Musashino Line in the morning, but, y’know

Aren’t heads of ruling parties supposed to have already learned the “wish in one hand, poop in the other” lesson?

Aren’t humors just sort of guesswork hormones? Sort of the alchemy is to chemistry SAT analogue?

I mean, I’m not suggesting burning it down. Just a little light occupation, maybe hanging some air fresheners around town, then a Mission Accomplished banner?

This might cause an international incident, but the city of Kawaguchi in Saitama, north of Tokyo, is pretty terrible. Stepped off the train, entire city smelled like a well used ashtray that hadn’t been emptied in weeks.

It’s okay, it just gives me a chance to forget about him all over again. The gift that keeps on giving.

I mean, I wasn’t thinking of him at all, until I saw this.

Weren’t an absurdly large number of “settlers” people who wanted to get as far away from the concept of government, laws, and taxes as possible? Like, if we go far enough out west, we won’t have to be part of this whole dumb country thing? (Until, of course, they wanted help from the government)

What you’re calling slop, is, to me, noise keeping me from things I *want* to see. If the person who had a program generate slop couldn’t be bothered to actually make something, I’d rather not waste time acknowledging it when it pops up in my feed. Signal, though, would be a thing worth the time?

Hey, just wanted to say thanks for hiding the picture. I’m absolutely terrified of spiders, and just scrolling down and seeing something straight out a nightmare really does my head in. I appreciate this (and did not click on the picture).

If (and it’s a sizable if) what we’ve got now or in the near future can turn out non-slop, you could go with Signal vs. Noise. “(LLM A) just churns out noise, but I’ve gotten good signal with (LLM B).”

I’ve been waiting for that film my whole goddamn life.

I saw this one at a used clothes shop in Japan recently. Sadly, not in my size.

I just saw a bit of it on the news. It looks terrible, the kind of thing that, if it was made by a person, wouldn’t rate inclusion in a Sharknado movie. I’m sure they could have hired any number of professional filmmakers or animators to create something decent, but they went with garbage instead.

This is really one of those times when the guy should be identified and shamed out of public life. If he’s going to go full nazi, no mask, either society openly rebukes him, or it lets him know that this is perfectly okay, and next time, he won’t have to bother with dogwhistles.

Turkey, provolone, giblet gravy, cranberry sauce, bacon. Possible pressed and griddle toasted. No lettuce.

The first show that made me think, man, this is plotted like a video game was the first season of the Mandalorian. Lots of side quests that didn’t really have anything to do with the overall villain, and a pretty clear set of stages/areas that had to be cleared before moving to the next one.

I’m not sure I’m happy I read that, but damn, it was good. That’s a level of creeping dread I haven’t come across much recently.
