He received one goblet each time he filled up his massive Pontiac while commuting between Doniphan County, Kansas, and Peoria, Illinois, to attend horology school at Bradley in the late 1950s. He made the round trip every week. When he died in February 2023, I was given three of the six goblets.

Exactly. They’ve overwintered for me in Kansas, Indiana, Utah and now Washington. They’re a splash of color in an otherwise bleak environment — and the hummingbirds always check them out when it’s cold.
