Of course. And the fear of starting over is certainly valid, but if you choose to change over providers, see if they can offer any references on providers they may recommend, and ensure you request your medical records to be faxed over to that provider.

See if there are alternative treatment plans they can recommend for you, especially since you do like the provider, their current regimen just isn't for you. Health care and mental care isn't a one size fits all. It has to be tailored to the patient.

With that being said, hostility wouldn't be the answer, but inform them that the treatment plan they have and the goals they have for you do not seem to be coming to fruition, and you're having a difficult time navigating with this treatment plan.

The best thing is to be direct with your provider. Any provider. They may think they are doing everything in their power, but if the patient does not speak up, then it's difficult for us to navigate care with them. You are your own advocate, and it is important to remember that.

It takes awhile to recover post-covid. Just remember to hydrate, eat a well balanced diet, and give your body time to recover!!
