My understanding is that Dutton and Ruston have both indicated they want to reintroduce it. The Australian Independent Media Network did an article on it but I can’t get the link to work

Same! I heard them calling today and then all of a sudden one flew low right down our driveway through the trees towards me and passed right over my head! I just love them! They don’t often stop in our garden but when they do it’s such a thrill.
