I used to be a lodger, the guy who’s house it was wouldn’t smoke in the house when he had his kids for the weekend, which is fair enough, he used to smoke in the garden, at a location and height where the smoke went directly into the first floor windows.

I’ve said this before, I saw a post on Facebook once that was discussing log burners, there were plenty of people defending them, when I dared say it has a negative impact on people’s health the responses I got were along the lines that as it didn’t affect them they simply didn’t care.

I’m ok with out, it’s much better to have a legal requirement to allow employees to have 28 days leave (if working 5 days a week) whenever they want

The end was poor, but not as bad as My Name is Earl

What a great writer he must be though, they have to continually refer to a show he created 30 years ago

You can also get the geolocation from computers and phones, but this can be turned off by the user, that’s how streaming services know if the user is not in a certain location

I was driving down a road earlier where the “patriots” had hoisted flags half way up lampposts, each one was upside down

Their is not Reform AU as well, the same branding as the UK
November 22, 2025 at 10:05 AM
I can’t understand why polling places are not open longer. In the UK they are open from 7am to 10pm. If you are in a queue before 10pm they stay until everyone has voted. We’ve also had mail in voting for years, I think I’ve only voted in person once.

There are certain things I need Windows for, although on set up I said not to store in OneDrive, what does it do, store in OneDrive. I now get alerts saying my OneDrive is nearly full and telling me to bit more storage, I didn’t want it in the first place, I have a TB for storage

The judicial system being partisan and political appointments

They will likely be moved to the mayors office under TUPE
November 14, 2025 at 2:04 PM
Just imagine if heaven forbid politicians start pushing for the same here, it’s better to keep it surrey in my opinion
November 14, 2025 at 2:04 PM
I should have worded it differently, yes, they have to report to someone, but politics should be kept out of the decision making. Just look at what is hastening in the US where they have elected AGs and judges. You have the president pressuring law enforcement to punish his political enemies.
November 14, 2025 at 2:04 PM
Although I don’t think partisan politics should be involved in the justice system, from what I understand the responsibility will be under the mayor, hence these people will probably be transferred to the mayor.
