What a phenomenal launch. Gorgeous views, booster successfully landed for the first time, and EscaPADE safely deployed! Once the GS1 is fully secured, it will take LPV1 "Jacklyn" about 4 days to return to Port. Meanwhile EscaPADE will head to L2, which will take a couple of weeks.

Firefly has identified the root cause of the FLTA007 stage 1 testing anomaly as "a process error during integration that resulted in hydrocarbon contamination".

Corrective actions included increasing inspection requirements, optimizing sensors, and additional automated aborts.
Just as Firefly was preparing for the return to flight following the FLTA006 failure, the first stage for FLTA007 was lost in an anomaly on the test stand, resulting in a huge fireball. Really unfortunate to see, and hopefully they can recover quickly.

Unfortunately NASA decided to scrub the New Glenn NG-2 launch with EscaPADE due to the ongoing geomagnetic storm. The delay will likely be a couple of days, as the forecast for the ViaSat-3 F2 launch on Atlas V doesn't show improving conditions.

While weather at the launchsite is looking much better for the NG-2 launch tomorrow, weather in space is not, with a G4 rated geomagnetic storm set to hit Earth right around launch. Weather in the landing zone is also not looking too great with moderate risk.

Each EscaPADE probe is carrying 2 commemorative plaques! One has Rocket Lab's motto "Non Sufficit Hic Orbis" (This World Is Not Enough) on it along with an American Eagle & a New Zealandish Kiwi, while the other lists names of team members in each spacecraft's color (Blue & Gold).

NG-2 will carry NASA's EscaPADE Mars mission, which will study the Martian magnetosphere. After launch the 2 probes will first loiter around the Sun-Earth L2 point for ~1 year where they'll wait for the next Mars transfer window. At Mars the pair will operate in highly elliptical orbits.
