It's such a lovely part of the world and as you say the people are great. Their clear sense of right and wrong was striking, even if it was an old world view. When we first arrived it was like stepping back a few decades, but mainly, the good parts.

Spot on. I lived in South Shropshire for years and agree with your Brexity observation. While waiting outside our local supermarket, I watched the locals buy their daily newspaper. The Daily Mail outsold the rest by around 5 to 1, every time. But mention Trump and they exploded. They despise him.
