Trump has no choice. When Biden's people said even the slightest criticism about the Saudi government, they retaliated by raising oil prices. The resulting inflation contributed to Kamala's defeat.

Quite frankly, as long as we are depending on Saudi oil we are cutting our own throats.

As a Christian, my objection to the American Christians is not that they are exuberant. I have a much larger problem with the the culture war. It seems to me that much of the church has become more like the people that Jesus yelled at rather than the early church.

The largest shift will be when it finally clicks that you don't need to stand next to an EV when it charges. In the time it takes for a reasonably fast charge, you can grab a bite to eat, use the toilet etc.

I met an Uber driver who plugs in then has breakfast each morning before starting his day

Vancouver had this in the late 90s for their busses. Big fanfare when it rolled out but it didn't stick.

Much less often, and fire departments have figured out how to put out ev fires. It takes a bit of training but the procedure is: cover with a fire blanket and let the car cool off, then use a thermal camera to find the battery hotspot and hit it with a water cutter.

I've seen some laser based anti done systems that show some promise. I wish they would come faster.
