She's just incredible and brings such joy. My cousin has scoliosis, and she's so happy seeing her nail dance after dance, and then this! Finalist!

We should encourage people to write their MPs, no matter which party. We need to know who is undermining our democracy. Country before Party.

My brother downsized from the big detached house in his early 50s after the trauma of his in-laws illnesses, deaths, and the house clearance. It turned out to be a good move as he died last month of an aggressive cancer at the grand old age of 59.

Exactly. I'm expecting to see a lot of confirmation bias when choosing "experts" to speak about the subject on the BBC in the coming weeks. I hope it all goes well for you.

The piece was really awful. Most men with prostate cancer die with it, not of it. And Nick Jones trying to tie screening to racial inclusivity was particularly galling. No one interviewed who has been negatively affected by treatment or questions about how a diagnosis affects life insurance either.

Most 20 year olds are racking up student debt, or are working and struggling to pay bills and can't afford to save £1200 a year, let alone £12k. He needs to look around and appreciate how privileged he is and get on with enjoying life.

I have to say @vicderbyshire.bsky.social is the exception. She does her research and usually gives interviewees space to answer.

I had to find £95 this year for my covid jab because the government decided my risks from a covid infection have magically decreased. I'd cost the local authority and NHS considerably more a 100 quid if I have a virus induced MS relapse.

I have a brain MRI every year. Some years, the spine as well. I visualise past experiences of listening to electronic dance music in a park. Sometimes, I add in roadworks and a pneumatic drill, and other times, I just think the DJ is really rubbish at the drop.

None of them were.

To be fair, it was part of a compilation of MPs' reactions to the budget. His came across as the least coherent and most deranged.

It's not being built with GPs. It's being built with PFI. And as contracts with schools and hospitals near their end from last time, it's an absolute shit show for many.

I live in Northamptonshire, and we have ReformUKLtd councils, and we get precious little local news but plenty of press releases in the local press. We need the BBC to tell us the truth as no one else is.

I've just read Skedd's Wikipedia page, and if I'm reading this right, he thinks Farage is more racist than Powell.

Marriage has nothing to do with children. It's a charade. It's about property rights.
November 25, 2025 at 12:10 PM
That "study" isn't actually saying that traditional family structure is best. It's saying, without realising it, that economic decisions by politicians and the current economic structure harms children's life chances.
November 25, 2025 at 12:02 PM
I know what the research says. Children thrive when they have a secure home and adults around them they can trust, and sometimes, that isn't their parents.
November 25, 2025 at 11:53 AM
My children would virmently disagree with you.
November 25, 2025 at 11:44 AM
Exactly. Nick Robinson's interview with Crick this morning was all about whether Farage held racist views now, which he clearly does.
November 25, 2025 at 11:35 AM
At the absolute least, he can be called xenophobic as there's plenty of evidence to support it.

My son knows an international student doing a Masters degree who has recently had family members being targeted because an uncle is politically active. He wants to go home after studying, but he's scared right now.
November 25, 2025 at 10:54 AM
I've called and complained about it, whilst also saying how much I enjoyed both the lecture and Q&A.
