I stuck with that conventional wisdom about unsalted butter for eons. Then saw Christopher Kimball ranting about how the level of salt is such that you'd never notice in a cooking application but would notice on toast. So I switched. And never saw on impact on my cooking, but I did on my toast!

Apparently it's a thing in central OH. 🤷♂️ As far as I'v been able to tell, all of these dishes are identical but every individual person makes them a bit different. I think the ACS term was the original though, and it goes way back: passionatefoodie.blogspot.com/2020/04/the-...

First time I made ACS with the mrs she told me I made Johnny Marzetti wrong. And that's how I found out about *that* name. She claimed it wasn't an identical dish. So I grabbed the orig JM recipe & made that, and she repeated her claim. And that's when I gave up on that one 😂

You made e realized I was deeply confused 2x. I had meant "goulash", where I'd been looking forward to, you know. And then they gave me American Chop Suey. But yes! Also when we moved to MA as a kid the school cafeteria had American Chop Suey and similar reaction.

Some areas of the US refer to the dish also known as "american chop suey", "johnny marzetti", and "chili mac" (if not others) as "goulash".

I don't understand why people who still use Twitter use the algorithmic feed in the first place. In the entire history of the app, there were only a few years where users were actually forced into it.

oh no, this is a leftover thing. The mrs is the pizzaiola so I shouldn't say "we" 😅 but she's been starting to work through that book on Saturdays & said there were some thanksgiving leftover things in there. I do love the stuffing flavored focaccia in this one tho. Maybe 2 pizza nights are incoming

Have been starting to dip my toe into coding agents. A colleague who is ahead of me said it broke his brain as the mental model is backwards. I haven't gotten *there* yet, but it probably does indeed mean alien intellignece (I see what you did there)
