Milan go top of Serie A — just ahead of Napoli on goal difference — with a 3-2 win at Torino, which saw the Rossoneri come from 2-0 down. Christian Pulisic, who started on the bench due to a fever, came on to net the second and third goals after Adrien Rabiot’s 30-yard screamer in the first half.

Napoli jump back into first after beating Juventus 2-1. Two goals by Hojlund were enough for the Partenopei. Neres, especially in the first half, was fantastic. With this win, it means Napoli will have gone a whole year since losing at the Stadio Maradona. An unhappy return to Naples for Spalletti.

Crazy to think this is the first time Antonio Conte and Luciano Spalletti are going head to head in an official game. The last two coaches to lead Napoli to the Scudetto, they did face off once before — in a 2017 pre-season friendly between Conte’s Chelsea and Spalletti’s Inter.

Marc Guehi’s 87th-minute winner sends Crystal Palace up to fourth place in the table. Fulham outplayed the visitors after going behind in the 20th minute, but a strong finish to the game by Palace saw them grab their fourth straight away win in the Premier League. What a job Oliver Glasner is doing.

Cagliari get their first Serie A win since 19 September after beating Roma 1-0. Back-to-back losses for the Giallorossi, however — the first time they have dropped points in successive league games this season.

Really looking forward to seeing the Whitecaps’ Andres Cubas and Sebastian Berhalter up against Inter Miami’s trio of Rodrigo De Paul, Sergio Busquets and Baltasar Rodríguez. I’m predicting a big game for Berhalter in particular. #MLSCup

Fiorentina, who have been in Serie A since 2004, remain rooted to the bottom of the table after losing 3-1 at Sassuolo. After 14 games, La Viola have zero wins, six draws and eight defeats. A sad state of affairs for one of Italian football’s Seven Sisters.

Emi Buendía! Aston Villa’s late push is rewarded as Buendía scores with the last kick of the game, sending Villa Park crazy. Arsenal are defeated for their first time in all competitions since 31 August, when they lost 1-0 to Liverpool.

The return of Martin Odegaard from injury has really added another dimension to Arsenal’s attack. He’s so cool on the ball and seems to nearly always play the right pass. The way he waits before passing to Saka, who finds Trossard for the equaliser, was vital in Arsenal scoring. 1-1.

That goal had been coming for Aston Villa. They’ve done a great job of making Arsenal feel uncomfortable through the first 36 mins, and now they have their reward. Matty Cash was switched on at the back post while Eberechi Eze switched off. Nutmegged David Raya for good measure too. 1-0 Villa.

Tonda Eckert is deservedly named Southampton’s head coach on a full-time basis, having signed a contract to 2027. With four wins and one defeat since taking interim charge, he has brought a positive feeling back to the club. He’ll be keen to start this new era with a win against Birmingham tomorrow.

Whether it’s with Middlesbrough or another team, Hayden Hackney will be playing in the Premier League next season. Another dominant performance tonight.

Real Madrid triumph 3-0 at Athletic Club thanks to a Kylian Mbappe double and another by Eduardo Camavinga. Los Merengues get their first league win in over a month, having last tasted victory in LaLiga on 1 November against Valencia. Despite that, Xabi Alonso’s side are just one point behind Barça.
December 3, 2025 at 7:53 PM
Kylian Mbappe is such a special player. One week after scoring all four goals for Real Madrid in their win at Olympiacos, he now has a brace and an assist (with half an hour still to play) at San Mamés. Both golazos too, especially the first.

If the first half was an audition of what Barça fans can possibly expect from Julian Alvarez as their future No. 9, they’ll be feeling rather disappointed. For me, Julian has undeniable talent but doesn’t yet show the consistency of a world-class forward.

The only two Ecuadorean players in the Premier League this season are facing off right now, as national team teammates Moises Cancedo and Piero Hincapie go head to head at Stamford Bridge. Should be a great game.

Jorginho has replicated David Luiz’s success by winning the Champions League with Chelsea and the Copa Libertadores with Flamengo. He is the 15th player to ever lift both the Champions League and Copa Libertadores, but the first European to do so (even if he was born in and grew up in Brazil).

Spurs must have a serious problem playing against teams playing in all-black kits — five goals conceded against PSG in midweek, now two inside the first six minutes at home to Fulham. What Vicario was doing for Fulham’s second, I do not know. A horror show for the Spurs ‘keeper.

The more I see Joe Gelhardt’s winner against Stoke, the more I appreciate his touch before striking the ball. Not only does that show his quality, but also his sky-high confidence — he’s now got seven goals in his last nine games.

Lamine Yamal has opened the floodgates for this current crop of young stars. Estevao (18yo) ended up outshining Lamine (18yo) last night, and Lennart Karl (17yo) is showing his quality tonight. It won’t be too long until Max Dowman (15yo) is strutting his stuff at the Emirates too.

The last time Everton won at Old Trafford, it was thanks to an 86th-minute Bryan Oviedo goal on 4 December, 2013. Roberto Martinez — who is in the Sky studio tonight — was Everton’s manager that day, while David Moyes was in charge of United. Just like tonight, Seamus Coleman started that game.
November 24, 2025 at 10:00 PM
I haven’t seen a team show as much resilience in a game this season as Everton tonight. It would’ve been easy for the wheels to come off after Coleman’s early injury and Gueye’s crazy red card, but instead they regrouped and played like warriors. David Moyes should feel so proud.
November 24, 2025 at 9:57 PM
I’m half wondering if we’ll see Michael Keane come out for the second half looking like this… 😄
November 24, 2025 at 8:50 PM
Leo Messi with one goal and three assists tonight. Even at 38, it’s still such a joy to watch him in action. Messi has 20 goal contributions from Inter Miami’s 25 goals over the last seven games. Crazy.
November 24, 2025 at 12:13 AM
Mateo Silvetti has some future ahead of him. After his assist for Leo Messi earlier in the game, he’s just put Inter Miami 2-0 up with a fantastic finish into the far corner. Just 19, he’s someone to keep a close eye on over the next few years.
