Caturday in RVA.
Sadly, I had to say goodbye to my old man cat, Buddy, today. He developed cancer in his mouth which spread to his bones. He was 18 and it was too advanced to consider any type of treatment. He was one of the best cats I’ve ever had the pleasure of existing with.

My insurance doesn’t cover a prescription so now I get to pay $1300 out of pocket every month. Love this for me.

I discovered I have a cat living around my house outside. So naturally, I have bought a heated cat house and put out food and water for it. My hope is to one day bring it inside but until then, I’ll do what I can to take care of it. I live in the country so it’s not a neighbor’s cat.

I got a notification that there was movement at my front door but there is nothing on the video so now I’m wondering if I have ghosts and if I have to move.

Websites are just so annoying now. Popups, videos running automatically, banner ads that take up a 1/3 of the page. I can’t even read a news story without having to X out of ads and stopping videos first. Please just let me see the information I came to your site for.

Yesterday would have been my husband’s 52nd birthday. While the passage of time has made his loss easier, I still miss him like crazy. That man could make me laugh and believe in myself like no one else.

Final day of vacation. While I’ve not been staying up too much later than normal and still getting up relatively early, that 4:40 alarm in the morning is still going to be brutal.

as someone who has said "excuse me, sorry" to inanimate objects on multiple occasions out of a bone-deep, constant sense of shame and deference, i truly struggle to understand the psychology of people who listen to their phones on full volume without headphones in public spaces.
