The Japanese companies are the second-largest customers of Rocket Lab's Electron service after those in the US.

It reflects that the Japanese LEO satellite companies require dedicated launches to build their constellation in mid-inclination LEO by leveraging the government support.

I enjoyed meeting and catching up with space guys at #IAC2025 in Sydney!

In #IAC2025, many Japanese companies show their technologies and products.

My favorite is this, a test model of a sample return capsule for the mission of MMX, JAXA's next deep space project to the moon's of #Mars.

A Japanese company is developing the Inflatable heat shield technology backed by the governmental fund.

That technology would be a game changer for reentry to both the Earth and Mars.

I visited the exhibition named “Deep Space” that is currently taking place in Tokyo. (in Japanese #深宇宙展)
deep-space.jp/en/

You can see some exciting exhibits, such as a mockup of the Crewed Pressurized Lunar Rover that is being developed by TOYOTA and JAXA or the real Soyuz capsule.

That’s all!

I visited 14 pavilions over 2 days—my first Expo, and I’m completely hooked.

It’s like a mix of global art galleries, history museums, science centers, and a food festival all in one. I’m obsessed.
Huge thanks to everyone involved in the event.

It runs until October, don’t miss out!

🇮🇳India Pavilion
A model of the Chandrayaan-3 lunar probe on display.

🇸🇦Saudi Arabia Pavilion
The helmet worn by the first Arab woman in space. So cool!

🇬🇧UK Pavilion
They introduced the Sutherland Spaceport in Scotland.

🇯🇵GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE PAVILION
You can see a real size GUNDAM!

🇦🇪UAE Pavilion
A corner introducing the country’s space exploration efforts, including astronaut Koichi Wakata, a Japanese astronaut.

🇨🇭Switzerland Pavilion
Showcasing ESA projects involving Switzerland, including a recreated comet scent exhibit (that smell is…😐).

🇮🇹Italy Pavilion

Here is one of the most popular pavilion.
A stunning blend of history, art, and technology. I was moved!
Grazie, Italy.

Space agency projects displayed with a futuristic device.

They had a weekly rotating exhibit featuring Puglia, a region strong in aerospace when I visited.

🇯🇵Japan Pavilion

Displays of JAXA's moon lander model and asteroid samples brought back by Hayabusa 1 & 2.

One more thing. A Mars meteorite!

The pavilion uses characters like Doraemon to create a polished experience.
Space exhibits were a small part but had a strong presence.

🇺🇸USA Pavilion

About half of the exhibits are space-related.
An immersive experience where you can ride the SLS rocket to space🚀

The "Moon Rock" displayed here, just like at the last Osaka Expo, bridging past and present.

USA! USA!

🇨🇳China Pavilion

A well-balanced showcase of history, culture, and technology—definitely one of my favorite pavilions.

Real samples from both sides of the Moon brought back by the Chang'e lunar probe!
This is enough to make your visit worthwhile.

Japanese Cabinet Office has developed 'the Space Skill Standard' to tackle the shortage of workforce in the space industry.

It defines skill sets for each role in the industry in order to make people, such as students or job seekers, know what kind of skill sets are required.

I watched the #Interstellar again last night, which is back in theaters now.

The movie is special for me because not only it's a masterpiece but also it made me change my job to the space industry.

Now I'm working at a company that has the same name as the film.

What a destiny.

The project #dearMoon has been canceled.

So sad for me.

I was strongly inspired by the concept of this project because it represents the new era of human spaceflight.
So far most astronauts are experts in STEM, but I agree that people in art should have got more opportunity to go outer space.
