When the host raised the question of coaching and using this to just make money out of the loneliness of young men, one of them said free friendship is not really an alternative. 😪

The way they don't have a problem to admit the asymmetry in the perception of men and women even when challenged by the host shows the level of normalisation but also of the brainwashing.

I'm also trying to balance the colonial aspect, e.g. I don't want to steal their voice and talk "about them" (even thought it is inevitable in a class). This year I wanted to add a week on Middle Eastern Feminism but I did not have the time to work out a solution on that unfortunately.

I use available literature for Hijras (Hall & colleagues), Two Spirit (J. Davis) & Travesti (Borba and Ostermann), for others I found videos where people talk about the self/their identities (e.g. for Fa’afanine/Fa'afatamas).
