Fun Fact: KARAOKE is an 8X8 inch square meant to evoke a vinyl album. What music genre? you ask. Some poems feel melancholy punk or flex power ballad. Some go 90s Björk. In any case, it will look pretty sweet on your bookshelf.

In Sonoma at the Poet’s Corner Book Shop, the cutest edge of the world bookstore, with KARAOKE AT THE END OF THE WORLD (pulled up on my phone). Who wants to read here with me in 2026?

BOOM. ⚡️🧨 Consider a pre-order! My debut collection explores grief for our mothers and ourselves.💥The vibe: end times in the multiverse, tender apocalypses, music, the extinct, ancient, alien, and animal. A bit speculative, a bit strange. Links in bio & here genevievedeguzman.carbonmade.com/karaoke

Reunited and it feels so good. Dropped by HOCUS Live for the PBF Cover to Cover series and read with local poet/writer besties, Andrea Deeken & Theresa Tran. We managed to channel Moon, Tower, & Fool energy for the night's Major Arcana theme, helped with some hot toddies. #pdxbookfest

Umm, as warzone-y as it gets in Portland these days.

Sorry, King Magat, we're most out here eating açai bowls, doing park yoga, reading books, and riding our bikes/unicycles.

Houseplant love. Soil refresh, leaf wipe and polish (!), gnat traps, snazzy new pots, and grow lights. ☺️

Today was our last class in the Get the Word Out program with @pw.org. It was a standout and featured poet extraordinaire @victoriachang.bsky.social, who chatted with us about writing life and navigating that first collection. Shout out to Morgan LaRocca, our mentor! Forever changed. ❤️
