Treasure Island is a lot more fun and more of a piece with what I like to see the Muppets doing. They're supposed to be felt creatures of anarchy! Why are we making a movie about one of them dying of Victorian England Disease as a boy?

What I will say is that Michael Caine is a SUPERB Scrooge, which is a role I feel like a lot of English actors of his ilk really like to sink their teeth into, and he's clearly having a lot of fun with it

It does have the funniest gag in the movie ("it is the BRITISH way!") but boy oh boy does it go on

It was a Design Decision I personally wouldn't have made, generously

It has bits through the middle where nothing interesting is really happening and some of the songs honestly kinda suck, but its ceiling and floor are both pretty high

I've actually seen Ben three times, most recently earlier this year (he's not my favorite anymore) when he was just really really excellent, easily the best of the three times I've seen him.
