Another slowly switching over to here from "The Other Place". Still trying to figure out who's who, and build up a new account.

Here to vent fury and laugh at the hypocrisy of the far right grifters.

Yep - that's not an actual picture of me.

He/Him
"Did you racially abuse fellow pupils when you were at school?"

Most people could answer that with a simple and honest "No".

The people who can't, and have to dance on the head of a pin adding all sorts of caveats to their answer?

Racists.

That's the look of a man who knows he's being set up to take the blame when it comes to light that they haven't actually released ALL the files.....

Me: buys a suitcase online
Algorithm: ah, this man clearly likes suitcases
Me: nope - 1 suitcase is all I need
Algorithm: what about these deals on 3 piece luggage sets?
Me: you know all my purchasing history. You know this is the first holiday I've been on for years
Algorithm: shipping containers?

We had the same with a Christmas cake, not helped by the small clockwork toy in the same bag.

We travelled one xmas in '94

The Christmas cake in my mum's hand luggage looked very interesting as it went through the x-ray.

A look of fear and excitement on the security persons face as they saw the huge orange lump on the screen, probably not helped by the small clockwork toy in the bag too.

It should be easy to clamp down in the driving test one - we all have a unique number on our driving licence, so just make people input that when booking a test?

I remain convinced that the moment in the mid 1990's, when people suddenly realised their old Star Wars toys were worth loads of money, has inadvertantly lead us to this point where consumers buy any old crap with a pop-culture connection, in the hope it will become valuable in the future.

They're anthropomorphic animals, so I'd expect some similarities, but a lot of the animals look just a little bit too much like they've been ripped from other films....

Kung Fu Panda
Peter Rabbit
Koalas from "Sing"
Meerkats from "Compare The Market" ads.

I was pretty surprised when I heard that this morning - refering to Madani as being on "the radical left" is just echoing the rhetoric of Trump.

Surely "in the interest of balance and impartiality" the BBC will now refer to Farage et al by their true description of being "far right"?

Would be interesting to know how his Legatum connections tie in to his lurch to the right.

According to his own bio, he became a "fellow" in around 2021. Was that due to the path he was already going down, or did the temptation of such a role and funding pull him further that way?

Ah yes - the halcyon days of football in the eighties.

A period that saw our "good natured, rough and tumble" result in English clubs being banned from taking part in European competitions.

It seems the contrasting colours is becoming the preferred option now - I guess it makes a person stand out more.

But the lack of hard hat or eye protection, and an ungloved hand (especially working with cementitious material) should be a warning and maybe a re-induction.

Should have replayed the incident on the big screens and made them both watch.....

Yep.... So much more rewarding.

As you flick through the cookbook, you see some other recipes that you might like to try one day. You feel inspired to try something different. You discover new ingredients and new flavours. You learn and create for yourself. Your life is better without AI.

Getting so tired of people doing and saying racist things, then acting all offended and feigning outrage when their racism is pointed out to them.
September 16, 2025 at 8:12 AM
If your "concerns" are based on racist tropes, racist stereotypes, and misinformation, all fed to you by racists and bigots in racist social media posts and racist forums, then your concerns aren't "legitimate"....

Your "concerns" are racist.
September 16, 2025 at 7:39 AM
When those "concerns" are based on racist tropes, spread by racists, in racist social media groups, then I'm afraid they aren't "legitimate" concerns...... They're racism.
September 16, 2025 at 6:14 AM
Yep.... When they say they are "concerned about mass migration", what they really mean is "concerned about brown people on boats".

I'm so bored of these people clutching their pearls, feigning outrage and saying "legitimate concerns" when their bigotry is clear for all to see.

And the elements of the media that want THAT narrative will be more than happy to quickly drop any further reporting on the killers motives and affiliations, and let a different scandal takeover the headlines.

In a few months, the court case and verdict will be buried on page 23.....
