It's a favorite trope to have a protagonist survive against impossible odds and their own bad choices.

It's a story of the good intentions of a young man gone awry. Of doing the best you can, getting in over your head when everything turns up snake eyes. It's a story of betrayal, and of hope set against a sci-fi backdrop of a stranded colony.

I didn't know much of what to expect going in. It has the feeling of being a space western in a similar way that the firefly universe did. Little guys fighting against the bad guys who are in turn fighting against a more corrupt government.

While potatoes cook, chop 1.5 DAMN HOT pepperoni sticks. After potatoes are a bit over 1/2 done, add the pepperoni, 1 tsp dried oregano leaves, and a sprinkle of garlic seasoning (I use Johnny's garlic). When potatoes are evenly browned, remove from heat and serve sprinkled with parmesan cheese.

Preheat vegetable oil in a large skillet over med to med-high heat. Dump in precooked potatoes. Don't splash yourself with hot grease. Sprinkle evenly with seasoning salt and stir. Let sit, and stir when bottoms of potatoes start to brown.

Dice a couple pounds of white potatoes (I prefer kennebec) the starchier potato will give a crispier finish than a red one. Microwave until partly cooked - somewhat tender. DO not rinse. First. You want those starches to come to the surface for that crispiness.

I love these and I wish I had more hair, but after a certain length I get aggravated by my hair and cut it all off. Usually in May because summer.
