I've seen this exact scenario play out at least 3 times in the past MONTH. Not to me, personally, because I don't outsource help for these exact reasons.
Each time it's someone at whit's end just asking for some hands to ease their load & they are met with "I would but I'm (x)" - c'mon y'all.. 😮💨

Honestly? Silence is sometimes better, because then you're *truly* busy or *truly* cannot offer your energy in that way.
Sure, that leaves the other person wondering & wondering until you reply- but not disappointed at least. I'd rather someone say "sorry I was busy" hours later instead.
