Good morning everyone. One of the things that brings me joy is getting things to run on devices that weren't necessarily designed "right out of the box" so to speak. I know its a Steam Deck and its a PC basically but getting the PC version of Simpsons Hit and Run working was fun and it plays great.

Finished chapter 2 of Yakuza 6. Wow, I am really glad I played 0 through 5 this year, and this so far has my favorite premise for the plot.

There's always a reason to keep enjoying and replaying games you love. For instance, in Sonic 2 & all sonic games with the "Chemical Plant Zone" (here: Sonic Mania) I still haven't quite got the timing right after all these years on the blue bead thingymabobbers. Always something new to try.

Been getting an itch to play through some of the Shining Force series again. I remember the Sega Channel my brother and I played through the first two games quite a bit on that. Core memory for us.

I finished Dragon Quest III HD Remake. Every time I play a JRPG I'm like "why don't I do this more often?" Yet I only play a few every now and then 😭

One of my first video games was Snake's Revenge. The "sequel" to Metal Gear for NES that didn't involve Kojima at all. I played it death but it was obtuse AF. Luckily, 35 years later, I can follow Youtube tutorials on how to figure out some of these vague directions. This is the furthest I've been!

For #randomgamesaturday I am sharing Sim City for SNES. It was my introduction to the series and genre and needless to say i could spend hours playing this particular version. Also, kind of has a bopping soundtrack.

I found another friend cleaning up. The Game Boy Advance with a backlit mod. I thought i had no games for it but somehow found Froggers Journey (huh?). It still works at least! That old school Nintendium.

I finished Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. What a game that turned out to be! The finale was pretty challenging.
