Hey bluesky, the "discover" feed is horrible. I don't need the semi porn or frankly even all the cat pictures. Especially not the cat porn (really). Also a way to block or mute a user without going to their profile. Please.

When I was 14 or 15 I read "The Borrowers" and the rest of the series. I am to this day, at 64, fascinated by the idea. At 15 I built bridges and other infrastructure sized for borrowers, just in case.

Papaya tree. Disease resistant variety,bsecond batch of fruit. We just picked the first one, you have to pick them still mostly green to beat the birds.

Coconuts are finally flowering. Dwarf Thai variety, 5 years in but the ground hope to have coconuts next year.

I live on the south coast of Guatemala, in an area called the Hawaiian biosphere, due to climate similarities with Hawaii. Trees on my farm: bananas, mango, more bananas.

I first came to Guatemala in 1984, Peace Corps. I've been living and travelling here since. 40+ years as a resident. Last 5 years exclusively in Guatemala.
