A little project I did at the weekend. Made from stuff I had around the house. Now I need a battery operated tealight because I'll forget to blow out a real one (thanks Perimenopause).

An empty jar (about the size of a jar of Olives) with a sticker of a Deer with antlers facing the camera on it.) The sticker takes up half the height of the Jar and a third of the width. Over the top of the sticker is an orange decoupáged serviette which covers the whole jar. The serviette was applied with a sponge pad covered in PVA glue/water mixture which creates a crinkled texture.

#Pinterest keeps showing me Forestcore stuff (because I keep looking at it), so in an attempt to avoid buying moss rugs and a thousand leaf/mushroom cushions- I'm #knitting!

The plan is to make a garland to go round the window and maybe some smaller hanging Acorn leaves to hang in the window.
A hand knitted, brick red elongated oval leaf on a background of a black ash table (although you can't see the whole table.) The leaf has a centre line going up to just over half of the knitting and the leaf edge is made of 2 knitted stitches making a sort of looped edge. It really stands out from the stocking stitch of the leaf.

The Shawl is finished! Cue a very bleary eyed and still in my Pajamas photo 😂 Now it's finished I've got a Knitting hangover, I'm really not sure how to fill my nights. I feel the urge to get the sewing machine out.

A mid blue to mid pink horizontal gradient background with a photo of my in my new Shawl in the centre two thirds. The photo is surrounded by a blush pink heart outline graphic stamp angled north west in the top left corner and a marginally smaller purple slightly translucent heart graphic under neath it (sitting on my left shoulder.) There's a small blush heart graphic angled north east in the top right of the photo, a larger blush pink scribble heart graphic under that (just off my right shoulder) and a mid pink heart graphic angled north west placed at the top of my arm. I take up most of the photo, an almost 50 year old with mid blonde/grey tinged straight thin hair pulled back into a ponytail (which you can't see) with no parting. The all important shawl is draped over my shoulders mostly covering my blush pink pajamas. The shawl is a mixture of wools going from burnt orange at the bottom left, to blue/pink/lilac gradient wool, brick red, canary yellow, green to cream gradient, burnt orange, then burnt orange to cream and brick red gradient wool, back to the blue gradient wool, another stripe of brick red and the green gradient at the nape of my neck. It's a hotch potch of colour using up the remainders of my wool stash. Very Boho/Hippy. Going from the other side (bottom centre of the photo towards my right shoulder) it goes brick red, blue/pink/purple gradient, red/cream/burnt orange gradient, green/crema gradient, canary yellow, green/cream gradient, brick red, and green cream gradient (at my right shoulder at the bottom right of the photo.) The stripes aren't all the same size but with the gradient wools it's difficult to see definite stripes. I'm giving a wide, straight smile because I'm really happy with the end result.

It's not perfect but my aim was to cover the plain wood because I've spilled stuff on it and I need a wipe clean surface going forward. My first time using sticky laminate stuff and I'm impressed.

Back to the knitting now! 40 more rows and the shawl is done 🧶

A dark blue to mid pink gradient background going left to right with a photo of a shoe cabinet in the middle third. The cabinet has two square drawers that pull forward and down to get to the shoes, so there's a small gap at the top of the drawer faces to fit your fingers in. The front faces are white laminated medium thickness wood. I have covered with top of the shoe cabinet with a new laminate because the top was exposed wood. The new laminate design is made to look like pastel painted distressed wood. The stripes go from the front in ochre, then green, then ochre to brick red then green to brick red. The next stripe is all fir green, then back to the ochre row. This repeats for a row and then has a large denim blue stripe before going back to ochre. Then it works its way back to green and the next row has a dash of cobalt blue halfway through. The final row is brick red. The whole thing looks quite good (no major bubbles) and I'm pretty pleased with the end result.

I did it. Selena and Brycen are back together and Brycen bought Bubblegum too. Bubblegum and Tanner seem to be doing well.

Bella (Brycen's science baby and the cause of the original divorce) is ... unimpressed. She's moved in because she's a Kleptomaniac and the Zest-Itos are loaded.

Thinking I might add some drama to my Sims' story by having Brayden Bot find out about Selena's first Servo Bot build (who didn't love her back and she sent packing.)

Then she could get back with her Ex husband Brycen who she left cos he had a Science Baby with someone else during their marriage.

A mid blue to mid pink horizontal background in the top and bottom 10% with a photo of my knitting on a black ash table background. The table is a section, so it forms the entire background and isn't recognisable as a table. Two knitting needles (4.5mm gauge) are to the left of the photo. The left most has no stitches on it, the right has both 57 stitches on which take up most of the needle. The knitting on the right needle forms an isoseles triangle of about 35cm with the point in the bottom right of the photo. The yarn goes from white at the point for 2cm to moss green (2cm), lilac to pink then grey white for 7cm, dark red for 1cm, brick red to yellow white to orange/dark orange for 10cm, then the green repeats for 2cm, lilac to dusk pink for another 9cm and finally the orange white to brick red then dark orange for 5cm ish. The red, yeloow orange, white wool is in a ball with the centre hole facing the camera about 4cm from the right needle, touching the top edge of the knitting at the end of the 2nd lilac pink stripe section.

I wanted to add some autumn decorations for free. Phase 1- a mounted clipboard where I can swap out the contents.

I have the first two verses of Elizabeth Barrett Browning's "The Autumn" framed with mushroom themed Washi tape.

A mid brown A4 Clipboard with a silver springclip. The clipboard has penned circular doodles at the top edge and pencilled vertical lines of about a centimeter at the bottom. Both are barely legible but the board is clearly well used. An A4 white sheet of paper framed with mini mushroom Washi tape on all sides is clipped to the board. The mushrooms vary from red with fluffy white spots to brown upside down umbrella mushrooms. The tape also features really tiny acorns and pinecones. In a plain font (Open Office's Javenese, at 18 point) are the first two verses of Elizabeth Barrett Browning's "The Autumn." It reads- "Go, sit upon the lofty hill, And turn your eyes around, Where waving woods and waters wild Do hymn an autumn sound. The summer sun is faint on them -- The summer flowers depart -- Sit still -- as all transform'd to stone, Except your musing heart. How there you sat in summer-time, May yet be in your mind; And how you heard the green woods sing Beneath the freshening wind. Though the same wind now blows around, You would its blast recall; For every breath that stirs the trees, Doth cause a leaf to fall."

Baked Feta, Figs, and Swirled Pesto Bread

A rainbow tungsten fork is in the upper right of the plate. The upper left of the plate contains 4 Fig quaters arranged diagonally going upwards from the middle left of the plate, forming a triangle point with the fork. The figs are perfectly ripe and a lovely pink with some yellow flecks from some of the seeds. Further inwards, to the right of the second fig, is a baked Feta slice arranged diagonally. It is garnished with a herbed oil of Thyme, Rosemary, Garlic, and finely chopped red Chilli. A knife cut triangular chunk of Pesto Bread is to the right of the 4th Fig with the thickest end next to the Fig and arranged diagonally. At the thick end of the Bread is a swirl of Pesto baked in to the Bread making a upside down "e" shape. The top of the swirl has come away slightly leaving a bubble of air. Underneath the "e" swirl is another small "smiley" shaped Pesto swirl with a hook going backward on the left side. Just to the side of that is exposed Pesto which hasn't burnt whilst cooking.

In real world stuff- my son and I baked a Pesto Swirled Bread. It's very tasty!

A handmade Pesto Bread in a snail shape resting on a light brown Silicon Mat printed with 24 light grey circles for sizing Macarons. The bread is a white bread with green Persto leaking out of the bottom right edge. The Crust is a very pale golden because it was glazed with water and then garnished with sea salt crystals before baking.
