Related to this, as a teenager my brother borrowed a book of mine while commuting to work experience. He returned it so damaged I made him use some of the very small amount of money he earned to get me a brand new copy. It’s still pristine and unread on a shelf 30 year later 😂

This is something I half jokingingly considered over Christmas and didn't realise it was a more widespread theory

as a keen sceptic, I put in over 27 mins of research into erasure of white faces in ads - due to this scrutiny, I discovered that there are SOME black faces in adverts - not all, not most - in fact there were almost as many vampires - no further discussion necessary

I know I bitched about the price but the coverage has been good, the UHD stream flawless and both finals were excellent but my god that men’s final was almost worth the price alone! #RolandGarros #FrenchOpen
The French Open is one of our favourite things of the late Spring, but not sure this year…
In the last few years it’s gone from Freeview with <£5 for a month’s ITV+ for ad free catch up, to <£10 for Eurosport, but this year it’s now >£30 for TNT sports after they killed Eurosport UK! #RolandGarros

2.5 hours and 3 sets of entertainment later and Boisson is through to the Quarters. Maybe now she’ll get a good show time.
You’ve got to feel sorry for Boisson. A French woman has only made it to Round 4 of the #FrenchOpen 5 or so times in the last 10 years (and not past since 2017) and sure she’s in the big show court, but buried at lunch time. She should be in a Prime time slot. #RolandGarros

In general I’m still a fan of VAR overall… but 6 minutes to decide on an offside is just stupid. If it takes more than 30 seconds then it’s not a clear and obvious error so stick with the ref’s call.
