Wow that’s a long con, to go all the way through school studying atmospheric science and establishing a career in broadcast media just so you could *checks notes* tell people online that it’s going to snow in Minnesota.

I do believe some people cannot. But I think there are many who actually can, but think we’re talking about something else so they think they can’t and we’re all just having a hard time understanding each other. And I’m sure everybody has varying degrees of detail in the things they picture/hear.

I always wonder if some of this is thinking that “see” & “hear” mean we see them with our eyes and hear them with our ears vs just mentally. Like if I say “Think of Jim Carrey in The Mask saying Sssmokin’!” I bet most people can remember/imagine exactly how that looks and sounds. That’s all it is.

Random "inquiring minds want to know" question(s) - if you're driving your EV, does it have AWD, and/or do you have snow tires on it? Curious how EVs handle in winter driving conditions, and if it's a big adjustment as far as how you need to manage the throttle to get through certain spots

My friends are often surprised when I haven’t heard about the latest “huge snowstorm next week!” rumors. It’s very freeing to hear whispers of snow in the long-term and completely ignore it until a couple days out. Still plenty of time to prepare, and way less time spent worrying.

“Burrito supremo at El Zocalo in Lino” would make a catchy song title

My husband has seen way more Star Trek than me and therefore gets a lot more of the references, but we both got the same amount of enjoyment from Lower Decks. And I’m a lot more interested in Star Trek now specifically because of LD.

I’m starting to think, since we can’t all agree on permanent DST or not, maybe we should meet in the middle and shift “standard” time forward 30 minutes and call it good?

Makes me nuts on overseas flights when they make you close the windows. I want to look at Greenland! Honestly I even want to look at the ocean, it’s just so cool to see stuff you’d never see with your own eyes otherwise

In the interest of safety, I’ll have an Almond Joy drop-off station at my house so they can be properly disposed of. 😋
