Oh, I mostly work at my university to generate DIS-approval of my actions, my complaints, my efforts to hold leadership accountable for their grotesque misbehavior. And, I have an entire life outside of my academic one, which will make walking away (and not looking back) when I retire VERY easy.

There’s a LOT of wars I didn’t vote for, and yet it seems that my country KEEPS FIGHTING THEM. Neither domestic nor international law seems to offer any constraint. I can only hope that those who prosecute these wars go straight to hell up on their demise to keep Kissinger company.

It is absolutely appalling, driven by intense xenophobia and profoundly idiotic attempts to correlate violence with immigration status.

Wouldn’t that depend on the gender presentation of the cis person? Being cis in itself does not mean you will appear as an immigration official might expect. It’s the whole trans bathroom ban snaring people who don’t seem to pass the appearance matches gender expectations test…

Right? Grocery store loyalty card customers are constantly given discounts of all sorts, which is 100% legal, so it is already the case that customers are treated in different ways . . .

Let’s hope the UC Leadership hears this. So far they’ve been too silent on these discussions, have not shared with faculty, and have been keeping us out of the loop. Wish I was optimistic about leadership actually standing strong and firmly rejecting any demands.
