One of my most frequent collaborators Jim Campbell had an injury from a fall, subsequent surgery, and is going to be in recovery for quite some time. Best wishes for a full recovery. Comics will be poorer for his absence until he can return.

I am really becoming enamored with the DC Compact format -- smaller editions of complete stories, $10 a pop. As you can see, I've bought 4 of them so far, 2 Alan Moores, 2 Morrison/Quitelys. If there's any criticism, it's they don't have enough I'm interested in.

RIP Gary "Mani" Mounfield. Bassist for the Stone Roses and later Primal Scream. The bassline to "I Wanna Be Adored" is simply exquisite. Far too young at 63.
