Every time a student writes me heartfelt email thanking me for my guidance and requesting an extension or a reference letter, I want to throw my laptop into the sea! It has ruined the word "guidance" for me. I try not to hold it against them - they don't realize how dehumanizing it feels. BUT!!

And thank you to @thehandeyesociety.bsky.social for coming across my unreleased (and still technically unfinished game) and liking it so much they encouraged me to release it a little early - don't worry, you can experience the whole adventure RIGHT NOW, just at break-neck speed.

I'm so happy the arts council supported my ranting-through-game-design, and I hope that people playing the game are similarly radicalized to push back against these threats when they surface. Rats and giants (and us) need stable homes if we're going to save up for a car, Doug.

While the market here is inching towards affordability, the recent rent control drama proves our housing can be destabilized, even us lucky enough to already have housing. (Had it gone through, our protagonists plan to secure a lease would have become even dumber than it already was.)

Help our dual protagonists secure a rental agreement on an awful Annex apartment, by any means possible - in this case, the means are (justifiably) blackmailing a landlord, and (somewhat cruelly) sabotaging your competitors.
