most backwards ass stupidity i've been seeing looping around this past while

generally though it's not really a thing of planned obsolescence but just poor optimization, plus there's a hidden thing not really talked about and it's the fact that the software scales how much power the hardware should be using based on the health of the battery so your battery doesn't die quick

when i got ios 26 on my iphone 15 initially it felt a little choppy and enabling that setting made it run more smoothly, 26.1 seemingly fixed it but i set it to the tinted setting on display cause i like the glass look but i don't want *everything* to be transparent like that

i think if you're getting lag from ios 26's glass stuff try turning on the "reduce transparency" accessibility option in settings, it *should* help out against choppiness a decent bit
