At a time when Portlanders are suffering from an affordability crisis, when thousands face threat of eviction, we have an obligation to act to protect the half of our population who rent. Bad faith slandering from right wing colleagues won’t deter me from fighting for tenants.

Also: I’m baffled by the idea that legislation rooted in the American anti-trust tradition is “out of the national socialist playbook.” The Nazis were pro-cartelization! What the ordinance does is follow in the Brandeisian tradition, which seeks to establish free market conditions with antitrust.
