Thanks to B.C. Labour Minister Jennifer Whiteside for making the trip to Harrison this weekend to share an update on the govt's efforts to protect B.C. jobs from the tariff attacks. But the crisis is getting worse and Unifor will continue to work with the Eby govt to do more.

I'm in Harrison this week with 200+ Unifor activists for the B.C. Regional Council to share experiences and strategize about how we can defend every job, organize every shop, and raise every standard.

We had valuable discussions this week in Calgary about strengthening unions at the local level and building the fightback against Danielle Smith's backwards vision for public education:

It was a pleasure to meet with progressive activists this weekend at the Sask NDP convention. I heard many energetic discussions about building the movement that will replace the tired, out-of-touch Scott Moe govt

During Friday's rally for striking Local 3000 members at the Sheraton Guildford, we delivered a clear message to the greedy owners at Pacific Reach: get back to the bargaining table and treat hospitality workers with respect! View the full album:

Join me at the Sheraton Guildford on Friday to stand in solidarity with Local 3000 members on strike and send a message to the owners that these workers have earned a fair contract. #bclab

It was a wonderful Labour Day in Vancouver with Unifor members and their families at the PNE. Thanks again to all of the volunteers that helped make it successful.

Across Western Canada, Unifor members are standing in solidarity with Air Canada workers who deserve a fair NEGOTIATED contract.

We now have a unionized Amazon facility in B.C.

A team of committed Unifor organizers and Amazon workers spent nearly a year doing outreach and fighting company misinformation. From Amazon to Walmart, workers are better off with a union.

Thanks to @Randene4PRSC and staff for meeting with @UniforTheUnion and #UFAWU to discuss improvements for fisheries workers in British Columbia. Looking forward to further discussions on ways to ensure BC caught fish is processed in BC plants by BC workers. #canlab

Last night, progressive candidates were elected in 2/3 by-elections in Alta. Momentum is building, and I want to thank our dedicated team who spent many hours volunteering and talking to their fellow members about a better Alberta for workers.
June 24, 2025 at 6:20 PM
Today is election day in Alberta for three by-elections. The Unifor team has worked hard in a member-to-member campaign focused on electing candidates that will stand up for workers, which means standing up to Danielle Smith's reckless and divisive agenda.

Less than a week to go in some pivotal by-elections in Alberta. The UCP govt is simply not getting the job done. Danielle Smith is not fixing anything. Workers are mobilizing the fightback, starting at the ballot box on June 23.

I visited the DHL picket lines in Richmond B.C. yesterday to show my support for Unifor members on strike. They are taking a bold stand against a very powerful global corporation to demand fairness and respect on the job.

Unifor activists are getting an early start in the Alberta by-elections. There's no time to waste to build the fight-back against separatist Danielle Smith.

Members on strike in the Cowichan Valley sent the govt a clear message at a boisterous rally at the legislature yesterday: our communities deserve better than being ignored by the French multi-national transit corporation Transdev. View the full album: www.facebook.com/media/set?va...

I joined a delegation representing Unifor members on strike in the Cowichan Valley at multiple meetings today to stress, in no uncertain terms, that the govt must follow through with the review of private transit operators.
