It's not negative, it's realistic. Why would the EU take us back after 10+yrs of being insulted and the possibility of another tory/reform gov to leave again? My optimistic future is a closer relationship leading, eventually, to candidate and then full membership

That's wishful thinking amd as much as I like the idea, I prefer reality.

It will take us having multiple, consecutive, pro EU governments before the EU allow us to apply for membership.

I never made it to MoR, Glastonbury was my festival, with up to 20 of us wandering around drinking scrumpy, imbibing mind altering substances and watching the lasers from the top of a large wooden pirate ship that was in the children's play area.
